What are the quality standards Cheeka Dairy follows?
We maintain the highest standards of quality in the processing and packaging of our products including milk, ghee and paneer.
Starting from the farm, we pay close attention to Gir Cows at every farm for hygiene. Samples of the milk are checked daily to ensure there are no chemicals, antibiotics or any traces of pesticides.
We never mix milk of several breeds. The best practices are followed by every partner farm and we regularly check that. Cows are milked hygienically with hands every morning. We chill milk as quickly as possible within 1 to 2 hours to 2-4°C after milking. This helps to avoid bacterial growth and maintain freshness. At 2-4°C, we start packing and storing in cold rooms at 2°C. That’s how the product is made ready to deliver to the end customers every day.
Is Cheeka Dairy milk antibiotic and hormone free?
Yes, we don’t use any chemicals in milk. We never use milk from cows that are treated with antibiotics or given Oxytocin shots. Our cows produce milk naturally. So, the milk is purest, safest, healthier and 100% natural.
In which type of packaging Cheeka Dairy provides milk?
We provide fresh milk in returnable glass bottles daily. The glass bottle used by us is food-grade, FSSC 22000 certified, completely lead free, inert and unreactive which does not allow leaching of chemicals into the milk even after repeated usage.
We also have 500ml variation available in 3- layer food grade recyclable plastic pouch packaging in our product line as a value pack.
What are the benefits of a2 milk?
A2 Milk is produced from pure Indian Gir breed cows and contains important nutrients such as Vitamins, Calcium, Potassium, Proteins and other nutrients which are essential for health. Gir Cow A2 Milk tastes great and contains vitamins that are beneficial to our health. These help in absorbing phosphorus and calcium very necessary to build and maintain our bones and teeth.
Riboflavin helps our body use carbohydrates for energy and Vitamin B12, helps our body in breaking down protein and RBC production.
Minerals like calcium, phosphorus and potassium in Gir Cow A2 milk help you to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Calcium is very much needed for the proper functioning of muscle, bones and to maintain our blood pressure.
Phosphorus not only provides building blocks for healthy bones and teeth but also helps to produce protein for cells and tissues growth, maintenance and repair.
Potassium is important for functioning of our body cells, tissues, organs and in regulating blood pressure.
Protein in a2 milk is the most affordable source – 1 gm in 30 ml.
A2 milk doesn’t cause the same inflammatory response in those who are lactose intolerant like the way A1 milk causes. When you consume pure A2 milk, you can relish its benefits without any gastrointestinal discomforts.
Where is the Cheeka Dairy Farm located?
We have partnered with many farmers and their farms are located around our delivery radius evenly. Each farm has only a single breed of Gir cows.
We give equal opportunity to our farmers to grow together. Because we believe farmers are the backbone of our country. The more farmers will come to this sector, the more supply will increase and that will make fresh, and pure a2 milk accessible to everyone at a cheaper price without quality compromise.
Can only exclusively owned cow farm provide pure milk?
It’s not 100% true that only exclusively owned cow farm owners can provide pure milk. It’s just a gimmick or propaganda spread by exclusively owned farm owners so they can better convince customers to become their subscriber. In fact, they procure milk from multiple suppliers and sell it to you at a higher price. Those propagandists may show you their farm and some cows hosted in their farm to convince you about the purity, pricing etc.
The other important thing exclusively owned farm owners never tell you is their production and supply ratio. How much milk they produce at their farm from the existing numbers of cows they have, and how many customers they have currently. What about those times when cows are pregnant? During that time, cows give less milk or do not give milk. Hence, milk production has to go down. But exclusive farm owners still have adequate milk to serve existing and new customers with the same number of cows. How is that possible? If they are not procuring milk from multiple suppliers, then how do they fill the demand and supply gap?
Often, exclusively owned farm owners have very limited numbers of cows to produce the litres of milk they are selling. So, it’s not 100% true that only exclusively owned farm can provide pure milk. All you can do is care about the single breed of cows, milk quality, taste and tests. These factors say everything.

What is the Bilona Method?
Bilona is an old traditional Indian method of making ghee. The A2 Gir Cow milk is boiled and cooled. A spoonful of curd is added to the milk and kept at normal room temperature overnight. The curd is churned by hand to extract butter (Makkhan) from it. The butter is heated so that the water evaporates leaving behind milk solids & Pure Ghee.
Why is A2 Gir Cow Ghee expensive than other ghee brands?
At Cheeka Dairy, A2 Gir Cow Ghee is made from the nutritionally rich Gir Cow organic a2 milk. On an average, Gir Cows give 6-8 litres of milk daily & 40-50% of that milk is consumed by the calf. In order to prepare 1 litre of A2 Gir Cow Ghee, 25-30 litres of A2 Gir Cow Milk is required, which makes it more expensive as compared to other ghee brand available in the market.
